A Future Begins at Home
This is a year of expansion and relocation for Family Promise of Brevard to better address economic and housing to ensure that a zip code doesn't define a child's future. To meet this need, our programs have grown, and we are repurposing Firehouse Number 1 in Cocoa (zip code 32922) into our new base of operations. This growth of staff, space, and services has brought our budget to $2.8 million for this year, almost 3 times our previous budget. Thanks to the generous support of our mission, we have raised 85% of our goal.

A Holistic, Community Focused Approach to Addressing Family Homelessness in Brevard
​The Firehouse Project
Relocating to Cocoa allows us to serve the area of greatest need, and growing our space to 7,000 square feet, we'll be able to serve 65% more families.

Elevate Brevard
Led by Dr. Synthia Doaks, Elevate Brevard, will manage a community classroom at the firehouse with the goal of connecting individuals with certification courses which can drastically increase their wages, and in turn, elevate their career opportunities.

Expanded Services
Our prevention, shelter and stabilization programs saw 96% of families enter and maintain stable housing. We know our programs work and are committed to always finding the best way to serve individual families. In an effort to decrease the number of families entering shelter, we will begin a diversion program to help families find alternation solutions in the event that they do lose housing.
