Our Impact

Family Promise utilizes a comprehensive, holistic solution for families facing homelessness. Families come to us in crisis; our approach of coordinated compassion helps them rebuild their foundation with new skills and ongoing support.

CHANGING LIVES

Family Promise of Brevard provides comprehensive solutions for families facing housing instability.  Families come to us in crisis; our approach provides the tools and resources necessary to rebuild their lives with new skills and on-going support.  In addition to stabilizing housing,  we help families navigate education, healthcare and advanced employment opportunities to strengthen their long-term  future. Since 2013, we have prevented or diverted homelessness for over 8,000 local families.

KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER

We believe families should stay together — not be separated — during the most difficult times in their lives. We prioritize families, especially single fathers and families with teenage boys, who often fall through the gaps of traditional support systems.

ACHIEVING SUCCESS

Locally, more than 90% of families in our shelter program secure housing because of our intensive case management and community support. Once housing is achieved, 96% retain their housing over the long-term.

ENGAGING VOLUNTEERS

We mobilize more than 1,000 dedicated volunteers who make a tremendous difference in families’ lives—and in their communities.

WORKING SMART

For every dollar invested, we return $3 in donated goods and services from our community volunteers and partners.

INSPIRING INITIATIVES

Our volunteers don’t stop at shelter, meals, and support services. Locally, volunteers lend their time, talents, and resources to meet the needs of families and our organization through donation drives, tutoring, financial coaching, and other professional services.
